The national honor recognizes Dr. Yancy鈥檚 innovative work in engaging students through community-based learning that inspires civic leadership and real-world impact.

The Campus Democracy Challenge selected just 37 individuals from over 1,000 participating colleges and universities nationwide for their dedication to nonpartisan student engagement during the 2024 election. Dr. Yancy鈥檚 award celebrates her role in empowering students to become informed, involved, and impactful members of society.
