ͬÐÔÁµÉ«Çé to host Homecoming 5K and fun run

ͬÐÔÁµÉ«Çé will host a 5K and Kids’ Fun Run on Saturday, October 26 as part of the College’s Homecoming festivities.

This event is open to the community and proceeds will benefit ͬÐÔÁµÉ«Çé athletics. 

The 5K route will take runners through Jacksonville, including scenic views down College and State Streets and the historic downtown square before returning to the Homecoming tent on campus. There will also be a 400-meter Kids' Fun Run around the Ware Family track at Green Athletic Field for children ages 10 and under. 

Registration and check-in will take place in the Lincoln Parking Lot from 7- 8 a.m. before the fun run at 8 a.m. The 5K will begin at 8:30 a.m.  Every runner who registers online before October 1 is guaranteed an IC Homecoming 5K T-shirt. 

Complimentary snacks and beverages will be provided before, during and after the race as well as one complimentary beer ticket redeemable in the IC Homecoming Tent. Runners are also invited to a post-race party with a free Bloody Mary bar. 

Before October 1, the cost is $30 for adults, $20 for youth (17 and under), $15 for current IC students, and $5 for the Kids' Fun Run (children 10 and under). After October 1, the cost is $35 for adults, $25 for youth (17 and under), $20 for current IC students and $5 for the Kids’ Fun Run.
